Making Art Work
London

Exhibition concept, design and production

Making Art Work was an exhibition at the Architectural Association that presented the work of art fabricator, Mike Smith Studio. The exhibition coincided with the publication of a book that documents the studio’s collaborative practice, tracing it back to a mode of art production employed in the Renaissance. The exhibition marked a transitional moment for the studio. It was an opportunity to reflect upon their past projects through the presentation of archive material and large scale models of selected projects and to speculate upon its future through an experiment in authorship. The exhibition was conceived, designed and produced by Mike Smith Studio with Patsy Craig, Peter Traag and Alison Crawshaw. www.mikesmithstudio.com/projects/making-art-work
